Arnold Elementary School PTA

The award should go out to all three, Diane Frazee, Tiffany Snowden, and Susan Kistler...I am just guessing here, but I am sure our membership has significantly increased this year.  They ran a wonderful “marketing” campaign – they were at both back to school nights, provided excellent information to the parents about AES PTA, incentives to join were beyond the Vera Bradley give away – (though that helped).  I hope they continue is this role next year and/or provide guidance like this to future membership chairs.

I feel like Tiffany Dean took on a huge responsibility with the enrichment program this year.  I think she did a great job in a short amount of time.  I know her vision for enrichment and with more time I know she can achieve it!  I hope the kids LOVE their classes!

Tiffany Dean managed over a dozen enrichment classes and ensured that every child who registered made it into a class. She also added a second LEGO class so that more children could take part in this popular class.

Every time that I walk through the halls of Arnold Elementary, I see Karen Strandquist volunteering in some way or another.  I have to assume that she is probably there on the days that I do not walk through the halls also.  She is a dedicated volunteer and has helped me in many ways by taking on coordinator roles in her children’s classes.

Karen Cassidy is our new PTA webmaster and in addition to daily tasks which can be very time consuming, she consistently takes on ad hoc projects as needed by PTA team members.  Most projects were submitted to her with no lead time and a very short turn-around but she always comes through and with a positive attitude. Her efforts are greatly appreciated.

I want to refer Nicole Lueke for more than doubling Giant and Safeway registrations. She went above and beyond to simplify the process of getting our families registered this year.  She is generating free money every month for the school that helps to fund cultural arts, technology and other various PTA programs.

Melissa Bowen deserves an award because she embraced the concept of “Going Green” at Arnold.  Melissa led the process of getting parents registered for this year’s school directory and she did it all on-line.  Communications were seamless mostly via phone call or email, registering was easy and she managed to connect with at least 99% of the families to produce a wonderful end product which is available to parents anytime and it is all electronic.  This is consistent with Arnold Elementary School’s commitment to be a Green school.
