Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

  • All students should arrive between 7:40 - 7:50 a.m.
  • Car riders may be dropped off by the crosswalk or parents may park their car and walk students to the building.  NO STUDENT should walk alone in the parking lot.
  • Walkers and car riders are dismissed at the 2:30 p.m. dismissal bell.  All walkers and car riders are to leave the building through the main entrance in front of the office.
  • Parents can wait for their students in the foyer or outside the doors.  No student should walk to the parking lot alone.  A teacher will be on duty at the crosswalk and will only let children cross if the car is in front of the crosswalk.
  • Parents, do not request early dismissal of your child unless it is necessary for an appointment.  Early dismissal requests disrupt instruction.
  • If a student has a change from his/her regular dismissal routine, you must put it in writing. Phone changes cannot be honored.  Please keep changes to your child's dismissal to a minimum to avoid confusion.
  • Only adults listed on student emergency cards may pick up your child unless notified in writing to the school office.
  • Students can only ride on their assigned bus.  Exceptions for temporary child care must be approved in advance by completing forms.  Students are not permitted to ride friend's busses for play dates.
