To help you stay connected to PTA and allow you the opportunity to provide input and voice concerns to be raised at the PTA meetings, I will post the meeting agenda on this page every Thursday before our scheduled PTA meeting date. Please send an email by 3:00 p.m. on Friday if you would like something added to the agenda to allow the board to review and update the agenda if appropriate. The final agenda will be posted by 6:00 p.m. Friday. All meetings are open to the public and are usually scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Meeting minutes and recordings of the session will also be made available.
Our Board and Committee meetings establish agendas for general meetings and review and manage the budget and policies and cover details of operating the PTA.
General PTA meetings are informational and are used to vote on policies and budget. We will incorporate a speaker on value added subjects of interest and all families to include their children are welcome and encouraged to attend our General Meetings.
2010 - 2011 PTA Meeting dates are:
August 31, - Board and Committee Meeting. PTA Kick off Meeting Working session (Meeting in Media Center)
September 21, - Citizens Advisory Committee. Leading the charge in support of a new building for Arnold Elementary School. 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Nov. 9, - General Meeting (Moving on to Middle School. Invitees include Severna Park MS and Bates. Discussions include the IB Program. Invitees - 4th and 5th Grade Parents
January 11, - General Meeting - Student Safety
March 8, - General Meeting - Demystifying the Maryland School Assessment (MSAs) Invitees 1st and 2nd Grade Parents
May 10, - End of Year Board and Committee Meeting - Votes on new Board Members including 2011 - 2012 PTA President
